Code Review: Errors with line, severity, and correction, verified by behavior

A small demo module with typical review findings: SQL from strings, mutable default argument, bare except, open file, eval, password in source code. Each finding includes line, severity, and suggestion; the correction is implemented and verified.

Sample work (demo), not a client job. Built as a trial task with invented example data; the check figures below come from the automatic test run and are not polished.

What was built

  • Findings ordered by severity, each with line and suggestion
  • Injection succeeds in the error version and fails in the corrected one
  • Clean code without false positives
  • Module and operation are fictional

How it was checked

Automatic test run on 2026-10-31, taken from the log (test data invented, figures measured):

  • Demo module: 7 built-in errors of 7 types found with line, severity, and suggestion; corrected version has 0 findings
  • Injection succeeds before (2 hits) and fails after
  • 11 checks

Limits

What this sample does not cover, so nobody expects more:

  • Static review: does not know the customer's business logic
  • Does not replace tests or a security audit of the entire application
  • Python is checked; other languages only by arrangement
