Docu-montage: public domain archival footage with voiceover and sources

A short script about the moon landing, illustrated with public domain recordings from the NASA archive: camera pans across images, chapter titles, voiceover and subtitles. Each file is listed with source and license.

Sample work (demo), not a client job. Built as a trial task with invented example data; the check figures below come from the automatic test run and are not polished.

What was built

  • Automatically searched for material in the NASA archive, recorded source and license for each file
  • Camera pans over still images instead of static slides
  • Voiceover, chapter titles and subtitles from the script

NASA material is in the public domain; this does not imply endorsement by NASA.

How it was checked

Automatic test run on 2026-10-31, taken from the log (test data invented, figures measured):

  • MP4 1920x1080, 22.49 s, audio
  • Whisper 95 %
  • 4 NASA images with camera pan (min. diff 12.43), scene change min. 70.1
  • Sources and license per file in quellen.json
  • Budget 0/cap

Limits

What this sample does not cover, so nobody expects more:

  • Material only public domain / freely licensed without cost (NASA, ESA, NOAA, Library of Congress, NARA, Archive.org, Wikimedia - each file with source) or supplied by the client; no paid stock archives
  • Script written by me or the client; facts are checked against the sources
  • AI voice (Piper); no on-site filming
