GDPR Website Check: Defects found in source code, with legal basis and remediation
Technical check of a demo site: third-party scripts before consent, fonts from external servers, embeds without two-click solution, banners without reject option, missing privacy policy, outdated legal notice. No legal advice.
Sample work (demo), not a client job. Built as a trial task with invented example data; the check figures below come from the automatic test run and are not polished.
What was built
- Findings ordered by severity, each with legal basis and concrete remediation
- Third-party scripts only after consent, embeds only after click, fonts from own server
- Banner with equivalent reject option; legal notice according to the Digital Services Act
- Explicitly no legal advice; operation is fictitious
How it was checked
Automatic test run on 2026-10-31, taken from the log (test data invented, figures measured):
- Demo website: 8 out of 8 built-in defects found (third-party script before consent, fonts, embeds, banner, privacy notice, legal notice according to TMG ...) with legal basis and remediation, revised page 0 defects
- 9 checks
Limits
What this sample does not cover, so nobody expects more:
- No legal advice and no certificate of compliance; legal review is performed by professionals
- Source code is checked: contents of the privacy policy and contracts are not part of this sample
- Changes on the client side only with access and approval from the client
