AI assistant shop readable: structured data, merchant feed, agent feed
Product pages with structured data, a merchant feed, a JSON feed for AI agents, and a read endpoint with current stock are generated from a catalog. Prices, offers, and availability were checked against the catalog.
Sample work (demo), not a client job. Built as a trial task with invented example data; the check figures below come from the automatic test run and are not polished.
What was built
- Product pages with schema.org data for product, offer, promotional price, and availability
- Merchant feed and a documented JSON feed for agents
- Read endpoint with live stock; purchases continue to be made in the shop checkout

Locally generated and checked. Merchant Center and agent programs require the shop's account; whether an AI assistant includes the products is decided by its operator.
How it was checked
Automatic test run on 2026-10-31, taken from the log (test data invented, figures measured):
- Catalog CSV 41 variants/18 products (sale active 8, sale expired/upcoming 3, sold out 5, without GTIN 1): 18 product pages with JSON-LD (Product/Offer/AggregateOffer) parsed from HTML, price/currency/availability = target
- Merchant RSS with 41 items
Limits
What this sample does not cover, so nobody expects more:
- Registration and activation in the Google Merchant Center, feed retrieval settings, and participation in agent/AI shopping programs require the customer's account; generated and checked locally here ...
- The JSON agent feed follows a custom, documented schema (agent-feed 1.0). Specific agent trading protocols (e.g., from OpenAI or Google) were deliberately not replicated - they must be integrated beforehand ...
- Purchase completion remains in the shop checkout (checkout.url directs there); no order/payment API for agents, no stock reservation
- schema.org data checked for parsability and values, not with Google's Rich Results Test (requires network); rich results or a listing in AI assistants are not guaranteed
- The endpoint is a read prototype (http.server, without TLS, authentication, rate limit, cache); to be implemented in the customer shop as a route in the existing system (Shopify/WooCommerce/Shopware or similar)
- Crawler names in robots.txt (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended) according to current knowledge; check against operator information before delivery. robots.txt is a request ...
- EUR only, gross prices, one delivery country (DE); multi-currency/country variants require separate feeds or fields
