Print-ready: product label, folding carton with die-cut contour and catalog from a product table

A label with bleed, the die-cut contour of a folding carton with separate cut and crease lines, and a product catalog generated from a table. Each file was automatically checked in the finished PDF: bleed, printing colors, image resolution, embedded fonts, and the dimensions of the contour.

Sample work (demo), not a client job. Built as a trial task with invented example data; the check figures below come from the automatic test run and are not polished.

What was built

  • Label with bleed and crop marks, images in printing colors, fonts embedded
  • Folding carton net calculated from length, width, and height; cut and fold as separate spot colors
  • Catalog with page numbers, item numbers, and prices, typeset directly from the product table
  • The brand is fictitious; the printing company's print profile and the approval of the die come from the customer

How it was checked

Automatic test run on 2026-10-31, taken from the log (test data invented, figures measured):

  • Label 90x60+3.0 mm, CMYK 300 dpi, 6/6 texts
  • Contour 295x290 mm (Target 295x290), panels 15/70/70/70/70, lid 70.0, closed True, crease+cut
  • Catalog 4 p. A4+3.0 mm, 6 products from CSV, 19/19 texts, 10 images >=300 dpi
  • Fonts embedded
  • 0 deviations

Limits

What this sample does not cover, so nobody expects more:

  • Color conversion with Pillow (RGB->CMYK without ICC profile) - color-accurate only with the printing company's profile (e.g., ISO Coated v2 / PSO Coated v3)
  • No PDF/X-1a/X-4 certificate; boxes, bleed, 300 dpi, CMYK, embedded fonts are checked
  • Die-cut contour without cardboard thickness allowance and without printing company standard (ECMA/FEFCO) - must be confirmed by the printing company or die maker before printing
  • Design according to briefing - no logo/brand design, no product photography (product images supplied by the customer)
  • Varnish, foil, embossing, and Pantone printing colors not in the sample (only the die-cut/crease spot colors)
