Whiteboard animation: Automatically file invoices
A short explainer video in whiteboard style. Each drawing is created stroke by stroke, a hand guides the pen, and a voiceover explains the problem, solution, and result.
Sample work (demo), not a client job. Built as a trial task with invented example data; the check figures below come from the automatic test run and are not polished.
What was built
- Line drawings as vector graphics that build up stroke by stroke
- A drawn hand with a pen follows the stroke
- Voiceover, headings, and scene transitions matched to the speech duration
Line graphics in custom style with AI voice; not hand-drawn by an illustrator, no VideoScribe or Doodly project file.
How it was checked
Automatic test run on 2026-11-01, taken from the log (test data invented, figures measured):
- Base 1920x1080 30.0 fps 20.17 s, Whisper 98 %. Customer audio: shift [-0.14, -0.12] s to sentence start, duration 15.75/15.75 s, audio corr 0.998. Customer graphic SSIM SVG 0.9981 image 0.9982, pen on line 18/18, hand on pen 1.0
Limits
What this sample does not cover, so nobody expects more:
- The drawings are vector line graphics in a custom style (lines with a slight tremble), not hand-drawn by an illustrator; commissioned motifs are reconstructed from lines and shapes
- Headings appear via a wipe from left (Ink Free font), not as letters drawn stroke by stroke
- Voiceover is a default AI voice (Piper, CC0) - specify as such; with customer recordings, their voice is used
- No VideoScribe/Doodly project file; output is the finished MP4
- Customer audio: The sample uses a synthetic stand-in recording (different Piper voice, MP3, uneven pauses); real microphone recordings with noise/coughs/slips of the tongue are not tested. Scenes …
- Customer SVG: Paths and basic shapes (rect, circle, ellipse, line, polyline, polygon) in document order, fill/stroke also inherited; NOT supported: gradients, filters, transform attributes …
- Customer raster image: only dark line drawings/logos (grayscale value < 150) are traced; light lines, photos, and gradients only appear when the area fades in at the end of the scene; stroke sequence …
- Sample videos are short (approx. 17-20 s, three scenes each); longer videos consist of more scenes using the same technique, render time and memory requirements increase linearly with the number of frames
