WordPress Health Check: outdated version, plugins and security headers found
For a fictional bakery: WordPress version and visible plugins checked against current versions, certificate and security headers verified, each finding with a traffic light and concrete measure.
Sample work (demo), not a client job. Built as a trial task with invented example data; the check figures below come from the automatic test run and are not polished.
What was built
- WordPress version checked against the current one from WordPress.org, backlog classified by urgency
- Visible plugins from the source code with version comparison, honestly marked as potentially
- Certificate, reachability and security headers, each finding with a measure
- The report openly states what was not checked without access; operation fictional
How it was checked
Automatic test run on 2026-10-31, taken from the log (test data invented, figures measured):
- Demo operation: 6 findings (WordPress 6.2.1 urgent, plugin possibly outdated, 3 headers), each with measure
- well-maintained site without urgent finding
- malicious site in 0.00 s
- Check from the Billionaire Engine
Limits
What this sample does not cover, so nobody expects more:
- Without access only what visitors see; plugin versions from the source code are 'possibly'
- Updates and backups for customers only with the helper plugin (not yet built)
- No malware removal, no repair after hack
